Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi to Shimla (330 km, 7 hrs)
Our journey starts from Delhi on National Highway 22 into the heart of the Himalayas. Driving along the low hills and eventually gaining an altitude of 6500 ft to reach Shimla is a beautiful experience in itself. Curvy roads snaking through forests of pine, deodar, and oak trees offer glimpses of small beautiful villages on the way. We will reach Shimla by evening. After taking a stroll at the historic The Mall Road, we call it a day at a hotel.
Day 02: Shimla To Kufri To Narkanda To Hatu Peak (100 km, 3 hrs) (Hiking Day)
This day starts with exploring Kufri – one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. The place is a tourist hotspot for its scenic beauty and sports activities. Then we proceed to Narkanda, which is the base camp of Hatu Peak. A small trek leading to Hatu Peak originates from this place. We ready our backpack and start climbing up the hill for about three hours to reach the top. The hilltop greets us with a beautiful Kali Temple and a 360-degree view of the valley. Walk for another 20-25 minutes and we discover another gem hidden in the mountains in the form of an open grassland called Jaw Bag. After spending some time here, we head back on the same route to reach the road head and continue our journey to Kotgarh. Overnight stay at a cottage.
Day 03: Kotgarh to Delhi (400 km, 9 hrs)
A beautiful view of the valley greets us in the morning. After breakfast, we embark on a short walk in apple orchards to get connected with mother nature. Then we head back to Delhi via Shimla on the same road and reach home with a collection of beautiful memories.
