100DaysInHimalayas with people and tribes of the mountains (First Draft)

This is what happens when the two artistic minds collaborate. And, the combination becomes more lethal and interesting when we know there is a tinge of vivid colors of Himalayas in it. The two great artists who have joined forces on a photography project called 100DaysInHimalayas are Dhritiman Mukherjee – famous wildlife photographer – and Bollywood music director Shantanu Moitra. The two met for the first time while diving in Andaman and Nicobar’s Havelock Island and decided to collaborate on a project that would offer a chance to be a tramp in the Himalayas for 100 days and see the world from entirely a different perspective. As described by Moitra, his journey with his photographer friend Mukherjee is a way to self-discovery and an opportunity to learn the most from the person you know the least.
The duo that is already on the loose for next 10 months between February and December 2016 will travel across all length and breadth of Himalayas, stretched across Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, and foothills of neighboring countries, i.e., Nepal and Bhutan, to capture extended landscapes, flora and fauna, varied culture, and hardships Himalayan people have to undergo every day.
The project is already live from Zanskar Valley of Ladakh and the first draft of images shows Dhritiman Mukherjee taking a dip into the frozen river of Zanskar to click some beautiful underwater shots.
